hawk estate in progress

Quote | Replywheels for humber hawk, same as?

ive got a few ideas for the hawk transformation... got to be black, i tried purple a few times but a black car always looks tough. i preferred victor when it was black with red roof, [to match my hair] althou Fly wouldnt let me do gloss as it shows up all the dinks.

think i might go for a glitter red roof again, this time not sprayed by 3 people and 6 arsole cans of craft glitter and 2 litres of laquer!

glitter red wheels?, moon hub caps?, as low as my country lane will let me and i think the spooky, haunted look again sort of suits me!

quite fancy satin black flames on gloss car or other way round if have to spray it ourselves.

clutch is done, brakes are done and hopefully will be on the road for me very soon, dont feel right in flys vw passat [dont look right either], my friend at work likened it to finding out that santa doesnt exist finding me in a modern car!

trying out ideas for a toothy grille at mo,

anyone know of anyone half decent and not too expensive for a spray job, my usual sprayer is out of action due to illness...?

I like the sound of a red glittery roof. A friend has done that on his Fairlane.

As for the grill, what about the cheesegrater grill from the early series Snipes like ours or a grill like Percys (as in Kustom Shack) old Hawk (pictured below)

hey, great car, i`m playing with loads of ideas about the grille at the mo, my poor husband Fly has been subjected to my 1979-81 collection of hot rod mags for my inspiration, the grille is so big its needs a statement! cheesegrater sound interesting.

This is our Snipe. It was only on the series 1 & 2 Snipes, I don't like the later ones.

The shame is that the Snipe grille won't fit into the Hawk.
