Me and Mitch started Turtlespeed as a scooter club in 1984 and although it lay dormant for years we always had a turtle in or on our cars etc ( remember the turtle air fresheners!)
I was a 'rude boy'and saw Madness, Specials, Desmond D and Edwin Starr etc live in the old days and then onto a scooter boy and was the psycobilly. Mitch was a mod and then a hard core rockabilly.
We also were and to some degree still are into 'surf' music.
I think to us, music and cars are just as important. It is a way of life.
We also like to take the piss and after having had a beer with you at the Nats.....I think you will fit right in!!

I have to say the best night at the Nats this year was the one I spent with Tony and the others after Mike had gone to bed (sounds good don't it!) Listening Tony's music, dancing with Jules & Barry, getting up to mischief and having a little drinky.

As you have probably already read, we are not a club. We dont like all the grief you get with clubs. Just a group of blokes (and Fi) who have a Turtlespeed sticker somewhere on there car and have a laugh when they meet up. Nice and simple that way. There are no arguments on here, if you dont agree with someones veiws you just take the p7ss out of them and they will back.
the pop always looks good. seems that next years nats we will need to have a greater space for the turtlespeed campsite. we dont do the back of the fence we do the edge of the road cos we can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read your post on another site about why you wont join a club. Thats exactly why we set up Turtlespeed so all us Billy no mates could have somewhere to hang out. Too much bollox with any club, we just want to have fun.
