Suggestions required please.

Got my Humber club area organiser's hat on today.  I'm looking for suggestions for a  nice pub between Ipswich and Sudbury that serves food on a Saturday lunchtime, with a HUGE car park we could invade one Saturday lunch sometime in the new year.

One of the older couples in our local area live in Little Cornard and always travel up to the pub meets we have in Dickleburgh, Norfolk and we thought it would be nice to hold a pub meet a little near to home as a one off type of thing.

Our meets are so informal: we look at the cars, have a drink and a nice meal and have another look at the cars. Very, very informal.

Someone did suggest the Beagle on the the outskirts of Ipswich, but I wondered if anyone had any other suggestions.  Mike & I are the babies of group, as most of the others are 60+.

Any suggestions are more than welcome.

One other thing, the pub must serve a nice cup of coffee and tea. Oh and do a nice mixed grill, Mike and a couple of the other slightly younger men do like a good mixed grill.

There's a reasonable pub at Hintlesham, think it's the George? Not sure about parking, the local Mini club meet there, but they don't take much room up! I've driven past the f-ing place 12 times this week - should have checked....

The Brewers Arms which is between Boxford and Hadleigh always seemed OK and has a "reasonable" car park (haven't been there for a while though!)

Saracens Head at Newton Green is nice and only three or four miles from Little Cornard. Parking's still a tad "modest" though.... You'd need to get there early!
