Sorry Si, i know i promised to keep my mouth shut about the AHRA, but i kept reading Nessies and Adrians posts and it got to me a bit, so i had to write something. I know it wasn't really my place as i'm not in the club anymore, but i couldn't just see them get shafted like that. We had our fall out with them, but we did it the right way, not the sneaky, backstabbing way this appears to have been done. The following is my post in AHRA news.
Just read about Nessie and Adrian leaving and must admit that i'm disgusted. Yes, i know i didn't see eye to eye with them about things and me and Adrian did have some arguments on the forum, but that was as we were both passionate about our beliefs.
Now, i may be completely wrong as i dont know the full story about what happened, but i do know that those two blokes made the AHRA what is is today. Do you think MMM would be what it is today if it wasn't for them? Do you think Extreme Wheels would have happened at all. I dont think so. One thing i just found out is that Adrian created the Website without any payment or even a pat on the back from most of the club.
From what i have seen those two lived and breathed AHRA, both of them had there own lives to live and all the stresses this can bring but they still found time to push the club forward.
I dont know what the outcome of friday night is going to be, but i just want to say, Adrian and Ness good luck to both of you. And dont give up in what you believe.
This may seem weird coming from me due to my run-ins with them in the past but i know that they are both decent blokes and i hate seeing them get shafted like this.
I would like to thank you guys for your help & support over recent weeks. I too have now left the AHRA, the stress and upset recently has really got to me and the others.
I know who my friends are now and I will be supporting them.
its so nice to have a bunch on here you can take the piss out of and no-one gets bothered. We all have cars (si yours will go one day!!!) and we all love having fun and a drink or eight at rod runs whilst dodging tot rods.

Heres an idea for next years NATS. a chocolate fountain, a swing, beer mugs resembling holy grails and a tool kit for si. Will keep everybody happy.

Quite funny really, but i just read the first post in this thread and dont you think its crazy that i wrote this in adrian and nessies defence and then some time later they attack me the way they did. Thats the last time i stick up for anyone.
