Hi Mr Qwerty,

You'd get on well with Simon, he knows nothing about scooters either (have you seen he's!!)

We may take the p1ss out of your Saxo on here, but if we do, we're only kidding. Hurry up and get a VW or Retro!!

In the meentime put a Turtlespeed sticker on yer car, it'll improve it no end.

Wouldn't want to soil the good name of turtle speed by sticking a sticker on my car but i'll gladly take a sticker for the Minor I plan on getting hopefully very shortly.

I expect abuse about the saxo I get it on Retro rides, its not a bad car fast (well for me) and handles brilliantly shame about the image really. But I think a matt black raked minor will be much better and I know minors have at least one (huge) fan on here

Turtlespeed doesnt care that you have a saxo because you aspire to own something retro, classic or rod.  I drive a BMW 525 as my Daily, Shrek has a Shogun. Put a sticker on the Saxo and it lets people know that you dont just drive a saxo!!!  Perhaps Mitch can make a Turtle Speed sticker which says 'my other cars a rod!!!!'

For the record, I think the Suxo has potential, and would make a cool relible daily/track car. think PPC's Mankee Cheng's performace with creatively styled mods, rod influenced, euro simple lines, rally transformation with white/black/coloured steelies etc... ? ? ?

Only prob i had sitting in a 106 is the pedals are close together, could do worse for a simple reliable supermini.

Minor will be cool too obviously, could you do both or would that bankrupt you?

For the record.... I don't think the Saxo has any potential at all!!!!!!! But some of us need reliable daily cars and cant afford to run 2 or more.  I spent years were the kids and motgage were more important than cars......then I remembered!!!!

Kids for sale....50p each or all 4 for £1!!!!

Yep, there is a place for boring modern cars. My normal car is a Passat turbo dismal, Si's is a bmw turbo dismal. So although we slag off normal cars, they do have there uses.

Couldn't afford to run both which is a bit of a shame really.

The pedals are close together but it makes heel toe a hell of a lot easier lol

Should probably mention that I'm also registered on Retro rides as Qwerty as well. So I know Mitch. He kinda convinced me to get a Minor.

Ive seen you on retro-rides. Im on there as well, but as I work for a living, I cant be like Mitch and spend all day going through the forum!!!!

If you work near home then the minor will be ideal for you.  I should be picking up a minor for my 14yr old soon.  Great cars to start with.

Bout 17 miles away so I think It'll be ok. Going for a job less than a mile away from home though so I'll just walk to work then .

I just sit at work and play on internet lol.

Wish I had been allowed a car when I was 14!! Always wanted something to fiddle about with.

I pay for a workshop and only use it over the winter, so I may as well let him have one.  I want to put a marina engine and auto box in it. Then my wife can take it to shows and he can drive around in it, as long as he is carefull!!!

You will have to come to some shows with us next year.  Even if you dont have a car, you can always meet us some where and jump in with one of us.

Hopefully getting a Minor within the next couple of Months. Just getting the Saxo fettled and sold!

Yeah I'm hopefully going to put a marina or midget engine in mine. Raked, Satin Black, Flames (posibly matt black or maybe proper flames), some banded steels on the back, side exit exhaust!

Was thinking about going 70's/80's stylee. Properly raked with back jacked up, Slotmags, fog lights above back axle, chailink steering wheel etc.

Use satin paint not matt. it lasts a lot better. I've got a pair of banded steels you can have, they need an overhaul, but you can have them. I'lll bring them up with me if i do come up over christmas.

Shame, my old chopped minor would have suited you. Sold it last year for £800.

sorry bout that.

Your old chopped minor is fapping ace!!

£800!!!!!! Surely not! It must have been worth more than that. I would have taken your arm and half your torso off for that price!!

I was thinking Possible Satin Black body with Matt Black Flames

Wheels would be fapping ace!! You can definitely have a cuppa and biscuits!!
