me and my bike

I saw this link on www.retro-rides.com also and followed it and saw that it was initally a club for scooter riders who like to be different. that pretty much covers me.
I got my CBT earlier this year and once we got it through an MOT and running I've been using this MZ S50 Enduro, which is basically a Simson but badged as an MZ and made to look like some sort of fierce off-roader.
I do love it. I've done about 1400 miles on it so far. It is used daily and for a while I was clocking 100 miles a week
It turns heads and certainly stands out from the crowd. it seems to earn some respect from 'proper' bikers, because i am forever recieving the 'nod' from passing motorcyclists.
its not overly quick, it will cruise @ 40 if it wants to, but then is any 50cc motorcycle ? i know for a fact that i would rather have this than any twist and go automatic hair dryer. this thing is the real deal with a 4 speed manual gearbox and proper motorcycle set up.
it has needed some work since we got it and its not the most reliable machine - but i wasnt expecting it to be.
i'm starting college on Monday, and it will be my daily comuter throgh town, just as it was while i was at school.
I hope i havent gone on for too long and i hope you like the pics.

this was it when i got it...

and the speedo read:

here is the bike at the top of a very big hill on the Scotish Isle of Arran.

And the most recent pic with the re-painted heat shield.

Finally, a pic of me and the bike :)

I hope you like it :)

Nice Bike! Turtlespeed was initially a scooter club (proper scooters not these modern things) But i like to think it has evolved to accept anyone who wants to be different and not follow the herd. Your bike is definitely different. Here's a bike i owned a couple of years ago.

If you dont want to be like everyone else and want to let people know that you are an individual, there is no better way than with your vehicle, its usually the first thing people see.
