Got the new regulator fitted. Still wont start. I have power to the starter, but not the solenoid. I have no power to the alternator. It would appear I have power to the isolator and from there no power to the ignition system.
The latest is that it now runs....not very well, but that is timing and mixture issue. The new regulator turns out to be knackered! The charging system should be sorted by next Monday which means MOT on Thursday and the Nats on Friday.......Fingers crossed!!!
As the Pop is suupposed to be picked up tonight to go to the workshop, I thought I had better start it....for the first time since the Nats!!
Once I got through the stinging nettles and wrenched the door open I swam through the carpetand wiped all the mould off the steering wheel!!!! Turned over 1/2 dozen times and fired up. Revved it a few times and ran out of petrol.
Front end has now been measured up with the steel tube i bought and gone to the engineers.
The back axle is being removed and I picked up the new solid axle on Sunday so we are finally cracking on. I will soon have the Jag IRS for sale if anyone knows of anyone.
Yea. Front axle is being built this week. Got a nice piece of tubing this week. Got a sherpa front end a couple of weeks ago. New king pins arrived today. picked up a set of 3 1/2 x 15 front wheels last week. Just need to sort out what springs I need and the build can start.
