Got my entry forms for this year.There is now a charge of £5 pre-entry or £10 on the day per car,they claim increased costings for the introduction of a charge.
Rodders are used to & accept the need to charge entry to Rod type shows but I can`t see the Old Boy Classic owner coughing up which was the case when Manningtree tried to charge a couple of years ago & changed their minds under pressure from the "Classics". I may be wrong & the day is a success.let`s hope it is.
I guess there is gonna be a problem at the entrance when after waiting to get in Mr n Mrs Classic is asked for a tenner who then decides they wont be staying & try to reverse out into the road
What has to be rembered is that if no cars turn up there isn`t a show for the public to visit.
I`m still going.

I filled the pre-entry form in & stuffed a cheque for a fiver in an envelope just after my last post....
Got a letter n my cheque back to-day with a covering letter saying that there"ll be no charge for those showing their cars,apparantley the list of "classics" complaining meant there wasn`t going to be a show..
