2010 Roadtrip final plan. Friday 18th June - Sunday 20th June

Here we go then boys n girls.
There have been many posts on the old thread about this on here and Rebel Rousers. After being voted  in to organise something I`ve come up with the following plans/ideafor the weekend. After arriving in the Southampton area on Friday some making the trip down may want to camp out at the South Coast Nats, others in comfy beds at the Hotel.I reckon the Haynes trip is something that everyone will want to go on.After that I thought a run over to Marwell zoo for the afternoon for those not staying at the Nats & then a carvery in the evening (somewhere)Then Sunday at the Nats and meet to leave for home.

Friday.... Full fuel tanks!!!!
Meet to leave at 10.30 am Friday at the Stanway retail park Colchester. For those further south such as the Rebel Rousers we can pick up on route outside Chelmsford on the A12.
Turning left on the M25 towards the tunnel the Nitemares can join in as we go over the A127.
We"ll be staying on the M25 clockwise `till the A3 turn where set back in the woods on the left (1st left as you get on the 3) is a cracking snack bar for bacon buttys n T. with plenty of parking.
Back on the A3 there is a fuel stop 2 miles futher on if you need it.
We"ll follow the A3 south & turn off up the hill just after Guildford to run along the Hogs Back A31 towards Farnham & eventually meeting the M3.

The next bit depends whether you are camping at the Nats or posh beds.

At the Hotel I`ve pre-booked 25 rooms at £50.15 per night for 2 sharing with kids go free B & B. If staying you need to contact the hotel on 0238 743100 quoting ref dawson/ahra.The rooms are reserved for us to book until 21 days before the weekend .
The hotel is a Holiday Inn Express without a restaurant so there are minimal visitors on site but does have a bar..The postcode is SO16 0YP for Satnavs or follow me.

Those that are camping out at the Nats need to pre-book for the weekend at £30 per head.

http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu/events-southcoastinternationals  or through the Victory Wheelers site

Some staying in the Posh Beds may wish to register for the Nats & go on site Friday pm & all day Saturday too as there are Bands etc.

Friday evening I reckon Fish n Chips & a run into the New Forest to a pub.I need to know numbers for the Fish nChips to forwarn.

Saturday......

Meet to leave the Hotel 10.00 am for the run to Haynes,we may get some up from the Nats for this. Haynes is a 60 mile run & we are expected with reserved parking out front & a reduced rate I think (all helps)If you`ve never been it`s well worth the effort.

In the afternoon some may want to return to the Nats while others might like a walk round Marwell Zoo

http://www.marwell.org.uk/

For those not staying/booked in at he Nats I reckon a carvery ????

Sunday.......

Show n shine   WOoooooooo HOooooooooo

It`s the Victory Wheelers big show so let`s get there on time......meet to leave at 0930 in the hotel car park for a 14 mile run to the site.
It`s a tenner each wich gives ypu access to the big house n the big garage.

I guess if we meet to leave for the run home at 3.30 we can makit home in time for tea......

I was down South on business yesterday & so checked out the Fish n Chip shop for the Friday.......... Wooo Hooo, chufin brilliant, loads of space in the car park out front, big seating area inside n good scoff too.......Sorted !

I dunno what to arrange for the Saturday night scoff wise.....Found a little country pub up a no thru road on the way towards Salisbury at a place called Canada,Romsey.Big Big car park etc etc.....The Dude runnin` the place is gonna mail me a menu & prices, maybe a tad too expensive...we"ll see.

I"ll also try n hunt out a Frankie n Bennys nearby of the Hotel, say about 10 mile run or so...We can have a vote nearer the time on Saturday scoff but Fish n Chips on the Friday is mandatary / it`s the law !

Comments peeps please
