im geezer.i have an old 63 nova wagon im workin on.my wife, t j, has an 83 mustang.im havin a bit of puter trouble rite now but i will get some pics up soon.i have a 454-400-8.5in posi-3-73's.t j's mustang is a convertable-5.0-h.o.-5 speed.
i used an 87 s10 frame.shortened it 11in.i had 2 tops.that made the 7in. chop easier.the top grew 11in. longer and 3.5in. wider.i lowered the body on to the frame 3 in..i will roll the rocker panel under also.we call it THE LAB RAT . its 41 in. high now.i want it at 39.its gona be a trick to get the 454 in without goin through the hood.shaved door handles, gas fill door, and loose the side trim and mirrors.its ben a hoot so far.
yea, it is a bit low for some folks.but i wanted somethin different.not the norm.its my first time to do a complete build and i didnt want to slap some runnin gear under it and be done.theres more room than you mite think.i checked it out pretty good before i cut it up.but a big feller would have a fit of a time.i do tend to take things to some extremes.im also buildin a home solo.i like to do things myself.i see theres alot of dang nice rides here at turtle speed.alot of the rides i dont see on this side of the pond.cool!i like all the older cars.
geezer you got that car coming along real nice there are alot of cars you see here that we don't see back home that why i encouraged everyone to check out the other sites i stumbled upon this one and a good find it was great people
hahaha, thanks for the kind words folks.i look foward to seein more of this site.i really like the dadburn cars im seein.i like all cars ,trucks ,paddys and so on.our projects are comin along slow but we did get t j 's t-5 out of her mustang today.were gona see if we can rebuild it here at home.i gona check out some more of the rides for a bit.cool place, thanks meadors!
