Took my conny to a mates garage to use his pit so i could weld a bit on the inner sill but on closer inspection the old thing needs a fair bit more work than i had bargained for, one side really needs a new inner sill and the other needs a bit of work so its probably gonna be easier to just change both inner and outer sills so it means i got a lot of work on my hands
I reckon it will be far easier n quicker to get me zody on the road so as from next saturday its full steam ahead with the zody!
Dont worry about Mersea, i will definatly be there in one of the cars! i'm hoping to buy the sills, i have seen them on ebay so hopefully some will come along soon but i really want the zody on the road and theres a lot less work involved with getting that done! Apart from a few little bits n pieces the zody needs some non structural welding which i could probably do in a half a day now i got a decent welder plus it needs front calipers overhauled then brakes bled, plus a couple hours work welding up the rear end of the exhaust and a replacement headlight which i have got and an engine tune up, this should be enough to get it on the road then i can tidy it up a bit better once its on the road. If i get the zody done i might just take the consul off the road for a while and tidy the bodywork up whilst i'm at it.
