Having found more probs yesterday it now looks like I aint gonna make Southend.
I have a slight problem with the frame head it needs a bit of welding doing to it and I don't know anyone that can weld, so if you guys know of anyone either in or near Ipswich I would be most grateful.
I'll even sport em a few beers and bacon butties lol
Oh and cups of tea or coffee of course.

I got a welder your welcome to borrow if required and welding rods, youd need a new mask as mines knackered as I threw it across the yard when I got arc eye !
I Can get a mask from halfords for 13 quid as was gonna get one lastweek

Just let us know if you wanna borrow it, I dont normally lend out tools but I trust you guys, aslong as I get it back your welcome to use it, just chuck us a couple of quid for the welding rods you use

If you can get all your other little jobs sorted between now and easter Anita i'll come and weld the bit on your car for ya. Ive got a mig welder but i am very busy til easter so if you can be getting on as best you can then hopefully you'll have it all finished and ready in plenty of time for Manningtree. I dont want anything for doing it just make sure me mug is full of tea

Wouldnt say im a dab hand but i'll do you a half decent job that will get you thru an MOT no probs. I'm on holiday for a week over easter and although ive got a few bits to sort i'll get ya car done for you.
Thats the spirit girl, you stick at it. ive been trying to get my zodiac done for a year now but i am getting nowhere fast what with sorting me consul as well, some things just take a bit of time. some people would have given up long ago and scrapped/sold/banger raced it!!
That aint me, even though my first beetle never did get started by me, there was far too much work for me to even consider it. Went to a good home though.
Berta is with me till either one of us gives up the ghost. I will keep her going for as long as I possibly can cos the old girl deserves a long life.

Welders in Needham Market but can drop it off as in ipswich regularly like i say its there if you need it, all id ask is that you put a couple quid in for the rods cos there not cheap anymore !
if you lived nearer anita id do it for free...weil your car that is lol. im sure halfords sell cheep mig weilders ,if not most car parts shops can send you in the right direction.and then its a case of practise practise and more practice.its realy good fun just watch for rust poping it goes every where ,ive had a hot spater go in my ear and unbelivably down my boot .

If you need it, Mike said that there is a brand new, still boxed welder up at the barn he shares. The guy bought it and hasn't been seen since..........
