Not a lot of positive feedback or enthusiasm about this show, I was talking to simon yesterday and we're a bit worried. How many of you are going?

Sorry to say I won't be able to make it next week but will be at manningtree.

Have too many little jobs, plus the welding chucky so kindly offered to do, to get done

before I can MOT the old girl. Was looking forward to meeting you all, guess I'll just

have to wait a few more weeks.

 I found a post of Retro Rides forum yesterday about the show and lots of people on there with interesting cars are planning on going. winner.gif 


All being well and Mike can get the jobs his doing finished on the Fairlane etc, we'll be there.

Isn't always the same whenever you organise anything, you get to a certain stage and you start to fear that not many will turn up and on the day you get a huge responce and loads of people make the effort to come along?

calm down mitch, theres several from here going. Are you going then? im sure i read somewhere where you said you wouldnt be there!!
We'll have a good day regardless how many people turn up. me,dell and steve are coming along early to help with setting fings up etc and to do car park duties etc.

The message has now gone out to Southend Aircooled from Facebook by Chloe, the group extends well out of southend so it will reach far.  We will ask around midweek to get a group together for sunday.  I'll put it on my chat forum (that nobdoy looks at except googlebots) too.

its on b289 facebook group and forum. I alerted chloe and manda who have been doing a great job cheers girls xxx. I had the carbs sorted on thurs and timing done, so will test the car out later today and begin fitting everything up.
I am meeting at ten at boreham truck area of the services, for a cruise down the a130 to the show. Frostys bus failed its mot, but he was hoping to get it sorted if he could. Justin is coming, and spooky stu, who was there last year. Blue bug on 2 ltr rims.
There was a guy in a blue yank pickup who have out flyers in maldon the other week at a spooky club night, so i think you have done all you can.

Testing went well, im like a man possessed when I get behind the wheel. It ran strong and quick, although no top end due to the gearbox, but hey, what does that matter when you get a huge grin from spanking it around.

See you guys tomorrow, take it your putting up signs as I have no idea where it is exactly.

Brilliant day and had the pleasure of meeting a few more of the guys form the forum. Good turn out and sunshine all day made it great for piccies. Cheers to Si and Mitch for organising and Russ for being a great host. Im sure a few more of the guys will post a piccy or two.
