Mark my truck is only a little 289ci and I run standard cast manifolds with 2 1/2" straight thro' pipes, you're always complaining 'bout the rackit that makes!Yours is a bigger engine so I would guess similar set up for you would be even louder, and louder still with headers! 'er indoors would not be impressed. Smithys are an all time great 'ol skool rod silencer, sound the biz, cherry bombs are fine too.

i agree with bumper ,the smithes are a real good silencer and have a real nice tone to them around 1500 to 2500 rpm. when ever i go past some parked cars it makes the alarms go off, lol,so much for moden motion sensors lol.im runing 2'pipe and one smithy per side ,with the rover v8.finished off with a crome tail pipe, and no not a ripspeed tail pipe yuk, just a pair i got from a car accessory shop. i garantee youll like the smithes ,you can get them at pop browns.p.s my rear end
