Spoke to Mitch who has been talking to Russ, owner of the B52 Diner. He has said that they will be closing down shortly.
Despite having more train stations per mile than any where in the country including London, the council have decided that with the proposed expansion of southend airport, they have a purchase order for the land and are planning to put a station there for the airport.
Russ has asked if they have any other land he can relocate to but they have said no.
This is all I know, but I am sure mitch will give you more details.
what a shame...it was so good to have the turtlespeed show there...hopefully we will all be able to make this one, make it a real family event...i'm sure russ will find another bit of land. good luck russ from the josephs clan x
