Laptop prob

Is there a mighty slim chance that someone on here uses a Compaq A900 series laptop? I am desperately huntin for a restore disc. Ive been on thousands of sites, made a huge bills worth of phone calls and i can get a recovery disc for any laptop but this one. I dont need a windows key, all i need is a copy of the Vista dvd recovery disc that starts the recovery process. I have all the licence key etc. Can anyone help out? cry

just rumaging thro' my vast spares and pooter info files Steve and according to what I can find you need to circuit test the inhibitor switch on the transmission OR it could be something simple like a brake light out. If niether of these let me know and I'll do more research, others here may have additional info.
Good luck..

Stevie just let Tony give it that gentle touch it works with all of his laptops and you won't need a recovery disc

stevie

On Startup hold the f8 key down mate

Most new laptops have a secondry partition thats had Factory Vista and settings installed on it just incase, It takes you into a recovery mode there which will restore your pc back to original spec

Its like a secret hidden panel

Yours may very well have it, my toshiba does

if you get stuck I may be able to make you a recovery disk from my toshiba
as thats running Vista ( dunno wether it would work tho )

Give us a ring if you need talking through the F8 Recovery process

Cheers and goodluck
