2 months anniversary today of when he went to hospital and one month since his heart op and I am pleased to tell you he is doing so well. Yesterday was Kelseys 18th and he was allowed home as a surprise to her and all the kids for a few hours!! We had a wheelchair cab arranged and we all had a great time, very emotional but a fantastic occasion. Since Monday he has been gradually wallking with a little support just for balance, coming home yesterday has given him great strength, as tonight he used my arm to hold to walk across the corridor to the loo and then stood on his own to clean his teeth at his sink. so simple a task but wonderful to see and he admitted he was showing off!!! We are all so proud of him. We have been given a date of 16th Feb to aim for him coming home, just as long as his physio agrees and he gains more muscle strength. He is a lot slimmer having lost almost 3 stone but we can soon fatten him up again. He knows he is up for a lot of stick re the piggy thing and is finding it very funny - well no choice really eh Chevy and Mr Pop. The Nats will be interesting - flying pigs and all. he will be on here again very soon. take care all of you and many thanks
