6 hour operation, and all is well! Got back to ICU 9.30 Monday night, saw him yesterday afternoon, awake quite sore, but still with us. Now has tissue valve (pig!) to be precise so no more 'mighty warfarin poweranging' for him. Looking at bringing him back to colchester as soon as a bed is available. Thank you all again for your support. He is a miracle man, we all believe the power of the love from everyone is keeping him alive and so determined to live life to the full. Having had the big op done will now hopefully enhance his recovery, still a long way to go but onwards and upwards with everything crossed. We intend to have the best ever 2009 and from all our family we wish each and everyone of you a happy, peaceful, prosperous and healthy New Year, with love Julie xx
So pleased he's on the mend, bet you cant wait for him to come back to colchester must make it a lot easier on you also. Send him our regards and happy new year hope things go a lot better for you.
i was just sitting here winding some jack daniels into me, and scoffing the quality street when i had an urge to log on and see if there was any news on the old boy ..superb.!!.
He was talking!!!! He is sarcastic and winding all the nurses up!!!
He can move and lift his right leg and foot and he is now moving his left foot. He can raise and move his right arm and hand and can wave his left hand.....
He still gets very tired and has a long way to go but
BIG BIG Progress.
Now he is back in Colchester, Julie says anyone is welcome to go and see him. He is still in ICU and Julie or me will let you know when he moves to a ward.
Cant remember the exact visiting times but I do know they throw you out at 20.30 or 8.30pm if you are from Suffolk
