Laughin' girl just put ya entry in if you want to I never had a problem with the truck, last time we took part there were several customs etc. Doubt I'll do it any more tho' p!ss poor parking on the park, even worse getting out and too stressfull at Felixstowe, Good day out if you tag on as Chucky does then park up somewhere down there and stroll the prom hassle free.
And CC don't come on here fekin wingeing and whineing, you've got a way to go to be accepted by some here, put all the smilies up you like you've got history with some of us. Btw like the car just try and keep a low pro for a bit.

Oh and BAH HUMBUGG!!!!!
And lastly but not least, Shrek we're ALL with you in thought, be positive and don't worry about that key job on the car nobodys brave enough to tell ya about, it's only paint.

Not the cleverest thing you've ever written!  some of us on here will sit back and see what you're about now, maybe you have changed and people will give you a chance but to write that comment isnt clever. That is a nice car you have bought there and should look nice when you've mildly customised it. We dont all own American cars.

Chucky didnt mean it how it sounded mate, Just the nats advertises itself as a American Carshow however im aware other customs and classics do roll up, didnt mean it how it may have sounded, I have changed and I hope you guys will give me a chance to prove it, Take my inexperience and youth as a lesson " Ive done the modified  garyboy crap " Ive become a man and a dad and ive grown up, I always wanted to own a classic and know I got one, id really appreciate for your guys advice on what to do and what not to do on this one and any help with where I can source parts will be greatfully appreciated

Take care and appologies if i caused offence it wasnt how it was intended

Pete

Bumper as just pm'd chucky i didnt mean it as it may have sounded mate, I have never been to the nats, not through wanting ! Just always had something else come up, I have only ever seen advertisements for it as a american car show I didnt realise until chucky kindly just pointed out that it is a event that welcomes customs and classics also, I appologise if i caused any offence this wasnt my intention, I have changed and maybe If i get to the nats next year we can all sit down as a group and have a beer on me, I know a lot of **** hit the fan when things happened a couple years back but id really like to put * My old life * and old history behind me, If you guys can accept that and give me the chance, Im serious and genuine in my want to have a classic ( Possibly Custom ) classic on the road and im greatful for any help advice or guidance you guys are able to offer me, I appreciate that things are a little tense and it will be a while before many of you will trust me ( if ever ) but id really like to be a part of turtlespeed if you guys are able to accept me. Before our falling out there were some real good friends in the groups and i really didnt ever want to fall out with any of them, Maybe i was just easily lead and should have divided myself instead of following others. Appologies again and hope to see you all soon Have a great christmas

Pete

Nice car Pete, I nearly bought one years ago. Easy to work on and get spares for.
I'd leave it looking standardish, lower it right down then stick a metro turbo lump in it!
Wont cost a fortune and it'll still be practical.

Also (to everyone) Whats so good about the Felixstowe run? I've only ever heard it mentioned on here, if there so stuck up isn't it worth everyone driving in convoy to felixstowe on the same day just to piss them off? I know I would...if i knew where felixstowe was!

Nice car Pete. Its a good base to start with. Just make a it a rolling resto and you can enjoy next season in it.

Go to the shows you want.......Felixstowe run is ok, but far to many flat caps and cravats for my liking.

Mods delete as you see fit?

If you think its offensive dont post it!!

Sorry people but I think I probably had the worst and biggest bust ups with Pete so feel I am in a position to comment more than most.

Of the troubles we had before, It was mainly with 2 other people.  These were the ring leaders behind our problems and were the ones who came on here starting the arguments.  Pete being young and stupid (as we all were at that age) got mouthy defending members of his club without understanding what else had happened between us all.

Of the people who had a problem with us at that time, Pete is the only one who has made contact with us.  Not only to say that he has grown up and is trying to get into the 'scene' but he has also appologised for things he did and said.

It's going to be a long time before me and Pete are best friends, but I am certainly going to give him a chance.

My 16 yr old son was a little loud mouth **** with no respect who I had to give a slap to teach him a lesson.  He is now 21 yrs old in the Army, an adult and sensible and commands an awful lot of respect.  If he grew up in a couple of years then so could have Pete.

It takes a lot of courage to stand up to you lot and appologise for his actions, please remember that!

Pete please bear in mind that you upset a lot of people in the past and I for one was ready to tear you apart and by posting this I am putting my reputation (for whats its worth) on the line. Dont let me down.

Also Pete.

If you have changed and no longer have anything to do with your old scene. It might go a long way by resigning the cruise central name and re joining with a new one, as to be honest just the name cruise central is enough to get me and others wound up!!

disbelief Don't start me off on that one! Let's just say it's not as good it as once was. The last time we did it we ended up having to turn the heater on tio try to reduce the heat in the engine as you do with older cars and ended up burning my legs! We were stuck in traffic so blinking long. Let's just say things would be a lot different if Mike & Dell (and others from here and the AHRA) were marshalls.

The only good thing about the run is that it rises the profile of the Ipswich Transport Museum (the organisers) and classic vehicles and the use of.

Simon I hold respect for you and this forum,I agree with your comments and will admit to not being fully aware of any unbeknown situations you or Turtlespeed had with CC or assosiated parties. My reply may have read offensive to those in question I added for you to delete if you felt it was too much so for the forum  as you have deleted other threads of mine in the past without discussion which could have then lead to an edited version to please all. I've even heard it said he came on here to try and wind people up and further aggrievate the frictions between here and Mumsandtoddlers. That aside this should be behind us now,.It will take time for CC to be accepted here by quite a few if ever, I could give him the benifit of the doubt but personally it needs to be seen to be believed. So he's finally got a classic car that he's not going to banger race, that holds some credit but straight away he's bristley about the Nats and the Felixstowe run. I would suggest it best for anyone wishing to enter/attend a show to talk to the organisers first hand to discuss concerns over show entry qualifications etc , ok ask politely or a forum such as this but don't just come on a site you know you're not really accepted on and start bangin' off about local shows which we all enjoy and attend. As you suggest a new sign on name with signs of a changed attitude in the threads could make the start of acceptance by some. He's mere re-appearance gets some going, me included, but as stated with respect for you......
?????? formerly known as Cruise Central, you're on my last length of rope. Do with it as you please..

Cheers Mitch
I dont think a metro turbo lump will fit  though as mini and metro engines are transverse ? My engines the same as a MG magnete apparently and goes the other way in the bay

All good points made so far on this  thread...........As it shows what everyone feels about what`s gone before I can`t see anything that should need moderating by me.I guess the same goes for Simon too.
As for Pete closing the CC tag........I`ve had a looky see at my controls n I can`t do it,..............but I can delete my own.......!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

So,therefore it`s up to Pete to delete the CC account n start over as "Austincrazy"as soon as he wants too.

Lets all move on......Post on the new thread on A40s with suggestions for  future ideas .

The tag on the bottom of my postings is taken from James`s memorial award and it applies to all of us including Pete

Its been done with moggy's (my fave's) and midgets, there was a post on Retro Rides about how to do it some time ago. Might be worth going on there and asking.
as for the other subject though, me and you fell out ALL the time Pete, but I've got no problem with you, cant be bothered with all the negative **** anymore, even more so with shreks problems, it makes you realise just how trivial it all was.
Good luck with the car.

Likewise I havent got a problem with anyone on here anymore, as i said before a lot of it was I didnt understand the full extent of what went on, Im not gonna go to deep into that anymore because in my book its history that should never ever be repeated, I just wish I hadnt of said the things I did or chose the path i chose. My appologies again for the bad karma that was caused now lets move on and hopefully rebuild those broken bridges.Theres too much S*it hit the fan over the last so many years, it makes you realise what little time you have to enjoy life to the full, treat each day as it comes, make friends not enemies and be strong. If you look at each day as a new challenge and a new begining you dont get stuck in discussions/developments that will dramatically change the future !

See you soon for a beer

Pete
