just so you all know. Ian has deteriorated a little.
They have now found the type of infection he has which is good news, though they still do not know the cause.
he will be on a new course of antibiotics for a few weeks and will be in hospital over christmas.
Once the antibiotics have kicked in and he has regained his strength he will then have to go back for open heart surgery to replace the valve in his heart.
I will of course keep you up to date with his progress a we go.
Ian thanked you all for your messages and julie epecially thanked steve for his phone call today.

Although it was mitch and i that started turtlespeed as a scooter club in the 80's it was shrek and i that reserected it as a car club for the nats in 2006 to get away from the politics within the ahra at the time, so messages from you all at turtlespeed do mean alot to him, so please keep them coming.

hi it sadens me to think of how vunerable we all are when this sort of thing hapens so when i say get well soon i do realy mean it and im sure all the guys and gals from the NIGHTMARES car club at the B52's would say the same.
We still need to be realistic and all though there is still a very long way to go, Ian did well in his tests today and looks like he will be returned to Colchester General within the next couple of days.
He now has a trachyotomy to breath with which is far better for him than the tubes he had before. He is still very weak and gets tired easily but he has been communicating with Julie which is fantastic.
I will be seeing him tomorrow and will pass on everyones best wishes to him.
