Was talking to a couple today who were at the nats last week. They went on the cruise and one abandonded there attempt as they over heated. the few who made it down to felixstowe parked up and some of their crew came back to the sight of parking tickets on the cars. they told us that they found out when they got back to the showground that over 60 people were given parking fines. after complaining the nasc agreed to pay the fines. they also said the cruise was badly organised as it took over one and a half hours to get all the cars off the showfield.
It was a simular situation with the classic run down there in May. Last year it took us over an hour to get off Christchurch Park, where the run started. This year we decided against doing the it, but heard stories of people not getting onto the Prom, parked in the side streets and then got tickets.
Last year Mike was really concerned we'd over heat, got pretty close I can tell you. Several older classics did.
Organising a cruise or run in Felixstowe is a nightmare, ask Bitzer who has helped do the classic one for a few years.
