sheet metal


where do you get all of your metal supplies from? I've only needed the odd bits so far so I've been using B&Q , but now I need some bigger sheets to do my floor and patch a few bits up.

where do you all go for yours? confused

We`ve got off cuts at 1.2mm & 2.mm. which go in the bin.

Let me know what size bits ya after.
I`m away from tommorrow till after the Mersea Show n then away again all week from Monday.

I'd be happy to take a selection of whatever I can get, and get you a crate of beer or something for your trouble.
I'd just be chuffed to have somehting to be working with.

Chris can you get hold of box section steel matey ?

Just im thinking of buying the gear and building a car trailer rather than buying one

Once we`ve got Mersea out the way I"ll have few bits at home that you can have no worries.Just put £1.00 in anyones charity bucket at Mersea.

Can`t get it freebie stylee as we don`t use it.

If I was you I`d be looking at end of life 4 wheel caravans


You can sell the interiors on the Bay to peeps who converts Vans,the skin is alloy so that can be weighed in.

What you"ll be left with is a standard layout that you can strengthen as you need & also upgrade the tyres to Van one as they can take greater weight.

I`ve brought a few pieces of 2 milly home,it`s up the side of the house.You can come n get it any time while I`m away or come over after the show.You know where I am,the same place where you picked up a Rover flywheel
