Nothing strange about that (apart from owning a VDP is a bit strange i suppose) but heres the fing. I cant sell either of em This is not right!!! I really like em both for different reasons. The VDP is economical, quiet, smooth and hilarious to drive on the back roads, and costs 50p to insure. The Bug is a nice ratty but solid old fing, looks good, (to me anyway) goes like stink with its 1641 engine, and i love Beetles anyway. So what do i do? Im never attached to a car and i dont suppose im "attached" to either of these in such a short time. But they are both reliable, in good nick and easy to run and maintain and they both fit on me driveway. I must be gettin old.....

Why do you need to sell either of them??? They dont cost you anything and if worst comes to worst you MOT one and then SORN it and dont use it for the year...
I think the reason you have the tumbleweed and the ghostly wind is the fact that just about everyone in this hobby is in the same ghost town.... I have my 32 pickup that you would have to cut my hand off to get the keys and a 1981 Mercedes 380SLC that was my dads that I just cant part with...
I know how you feel and I hate to tell you, Its normal...or as normal as your likely to get in this hobby.

ha ha. made me laugh like hell that day my leccy/diesel heater pumped the garage full of thick black smoke and you were running round looking for the switch! your face was a picture as you were nearly choking to death and i was outside in the fresh air!
