just been looking on ebay and what should i find but CHUCKY-POP the new seller sounds though his had it a fair while (ha!ha!) loos like he has just given it a clean-up looks good tony are you missing the old girl
yes i've seen it. it's upto him what he does with it, personally i dont care what he does, he bought it, paid me what i wanted and now he's selling it? perhaps he got pissed off with the feckin gearbox the same as i did! as for missing it? no way. i've got new fings, might even keep the consul when i've finished it now, the zody is coming along slowly - i might even be able to get the consul on the road quicker! as for the zephyr...... cleaned it up, serviced the engine so it runs worse, started filling in some of the crustations, and found out why the clutch was being an arse-the slave cylinder was partly siezed, got one of egay, have it sorted for next week hopefully.
the bloke with the pop rubbed it down and gave it 5 clear coats of lacquer to give it the shine it needed plus he put a new carpet in. thing is, when i spoke to him last week he was really happy with it!
there is an art to driving a pop. People think they will love a pop but its not quite the same after a long journey!!!
Not that I would know!!! ha ha
until we done the b52 last year the furthest i had driven my pop was mersea which around 40 miles and that was enough, but doing the 60 odd miles to southend was almost unbearable! with the roof chop and me being tall it was almost back breaking! still good fun tho!
