LHD Beetle - work started.

Got going on the green beetle. Thats my mate Karl taking a grinder to the inner wheelarch (looking for good metal i reckon hehehe) ready for welding. It wasnt too bad to be fair. Turns out this ones a 1302 Super Beetle, a model which was only made for 12 months. Been trying to get a bonnet....they're like rocking horse poop!!! So are many other spares for this model. Oh well, i like a challenge!! Heres a couple of pics.

More to come later. smile

The bonnet was quite rotten in places. After mucho grinding and welding/filling it looks ok. test fit looked good.
