Got going on the green beetle. Thats my mate Karl taking a grinder to the inner wheelarch (looking for good metal i reckon hehehe) ready for welding. It wasnt too bad to be fair. Turns out this ones a 1302 Super Beetle, a model which was only made for 12 months. Been trying to get a bonnet....they're like rocking horse poop!!! So are many other spares for this model. Oh well, i like a challenge!! Heres a couple of pics. More to come later.

i loooove that beetle with the long bonnet and sloping headlights. it'll have a long deck lid as well. thats the model im after next, pre 67. but ill do it like ive done my 72 with satin black and all the chrome. youre right about the rust chevy. beetles are sods for tin worm.
