We couldn't have asked for better weather!

I agree with you on the bling-bling wheels, they suit some cars & styles but not others. Each to their own I guess. smile

I heard that at the Hayride you have to have a vehicle that is pre 1960 and ir has to be pre 1960 build style too, so no bling-bling wheels there! wink.gif

Some of them are ok. That old ratty Caddi doesnt look to bad with new wheels but its ruined the woodie! I thnk if they are expensive and have boyd on the side people are getting them, even if a great old set of slots would do the trick!!

Yep, i'm with you all on this one, bling wheels totally spoil the look of rods/customs. Another pet hate of mine is people using white and yellow number plates on old cars when black ones look miles better! smile

Agreed, don't like the yella & white number plates on classics either. Unless they are correct for the period.

Sorry I'll have to disagree i'm afraid, personally i love my "bling" wheels, looks like they're definateley here to stay too as it seems they're more and more popular,i doubt you'll see Mr Coddington putting a set of old Wolfies on anything that he turns out on "American Hotrod"!!biggrin.gif
And yeah,yellow/white plates on older yanks/Rods etc are just wrong! bleh.gif

And they look right on your truck, because they suit the style or the truck in my opinion. I couldn't imagine a set of blingy wheels on our Snipe, having said that hasn't Bing got a set of Boyd wheels on his Pullman?

Your truck isnt an old classic!!! It a lovelly ride and the wheels match the paint. your pick up is a modern custom witha 'c'. Im talking about the old style kustom with a 'k' and modern wheels......hope this makes sense or perhaps ive just lost the plot!!

The blue '66 Caddy's mine too,it has 20" chrome Boss rims and i really do think it suits it,most people also seem to like 'em,i suppose the paint goes too but each to their own i guess.i think it's how the whole theme of the vehicle is really ie slots suit the Pop's,big chrome alloys on the Hi-tech roadster's,period on 50's etc?

Maybe we need to start thread about what cars suit the modern wheels with piccys to back you what everyone is saying??

Is this the one Hollywood?

Yip, the wheels work for me. Sniper & I said that when we saw it at the Nats.

Just needs a nice big set of white fluffly dice hanging from the mirror. wink

The caddy is cool. The paint is bang on the wheels are good but not my personall taste,
However if i was riding in it i dare say the wheels would be pretty insignificant as the whole car does look the nuts !

As of course does mine with its wires !! biggrin

yeah both look great i think!,and yep the blue one is mine, the paint has some flake in it so maybe the wheels seem to suit it more-oh and it's minus the blue & white fluffy dice that some a****ole stole when the paint was done!!
