Charming!!!! hehehe....
Its one of the nicest XJ40's ive seen in a long time. Its rust free!! Being the 'S' model its not overloaded with kit but it has slightly stiffer suspension, nicer rims and red stitching on the leather. Im gonna see if i can polish a couple of quid profit into it.

that's bloody nice mate, i'm sure you'll make a profit on the sale of that after you've enjoyed it for a while.although you should hurry up and get an older car again!
have had a nice jag myself in the past and a bloody nice car it was too but not as much fun as an oldie!

Ive just give it a wipe and polish, bull****ted the bumpers etc. Looks well nice. Its not an absolute minter but what second-hand car is? Its a beauty though in superb nick with a sweeeet engine and loads of service history. Done just over 100K. MOT feb 08, tax due september. Im chuffed with it. smile

Nice motor mate...I think its very enterprising of you to buy a parts car before you buy a proper classic to customise...wink....now dont forget to give it back to your dad without a scratch on itbiggrin

i did the jag (well daimler) thing a while back, loverly car, couldnt fault it. the only problem will be when you sellit any other car will seem a little agricultural (get a real old car and it will feel like a tractor). have fun in it and watch the speed as its verrrrrrrry deceptive.

Lovely motor aint they? I know some people see them as an old farts car, but where else do you get that kind of luxury for the money? Merc's are ok but a bit "cold" if you know what i mean. Jags ride well, drive beautifully and look great (in my opinion). I'll drive it for a couple more weeks then sell it for something else i reckon. smile I'll miss it when i sell it, just like i missed my Series 3 when i sold that.
