mike our one and only fiona's hubby rolled his car yesterday..he was taken to hospital and given the all clear...car a total mess...would like to wish him and his family all the best and thank god he is ok...
nasty. at least he's ok, sod the car. what car was it? not the humper!!! not been taking lessons from spyke has he! he's got a corner named after him near Hanningfield resevoir, lol.
The Humper is safely sitting on the drive minus the engine, which is sitting beside it. (The big end went on our way home from Billing a couple of weeks ago.) It was the Stilo that did backward roll and twist on his way home from Harwich Monday evening.
Mike has got a nasty looking cut on the top of his head, he did say earlier that he was glad to be balding! He is still quite shaken and feeling quite sore all over.
He would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and words of support. Poor James is as shaken as Mike and keeps worrying about the car!
Now the fun begins: trying to find a new car! Oh and getting the Humper back on the road for the Supernats.
Sounds like I've got to change my name to vera and find Mike a flat cap! He's bought a volvo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bump to the head has done more damage than we at first thought!
Mike went down to the slavage yard on Wednesday to collect our belongings from the Stilo. The rear end of the car was completely stoved, it looks like the floor pan has been bent and the roof is also rather bent too, but how much of the damage there was caused when the recovery truck had to left it up from the 8 foot drop that it fell or should that be rolled. He said that his seat must have moved a good couple of inchs as it's now jammed up against the handbrake, you can see the bruise from that on his hip and the seat now sits up a lot higher.
All the glass at the front of the car is intact. The really strange thing from Mike said is that his door was the only one that he could open, if you like his quarter of the car didn't have a mark on it, even my side was slightly damged but nothing to the back. Thank god that James & Lizzie weren't in the car! By the sounds of things, Mike is a very lucky chappie!
He went to work yesterday and drove that way to and from work. He said that h felt a little funny doing so, but knew that he would have to. I felt really strange knowing that he had gone back and was really worried about him.
