The second Barking Fox meet is next Sunday the 29th April.
I've been spreading the word as best I can and in the spirit of a completely 'Everyone Welcome' meet, have sent invites to some other neighbouring Hot Rod and American Car clubs, as well as inclusion in several magazines.
Agree with Tailspin there Barry, well done getting this casual meet going and the first went well with a good turn out. Needs a bit more input maybe by the landlord to get the atmosphere going a bit but a great venue for such a meet. Hope to get there on Sunday but first thoughts next weekend are for the Bums in the Mud bike weekend at Mersea.Don't forget we've got an open invite on the Saturday (free entry too) Humdingers are playing in the afternoon, should be good.

Hi mate
Yes I know where you're coming from as regards the landlords. To be honest I didn't know what I could promise them. They did ask about numbers etc but obviously at that time, I had no idea what to say.
Because they have no Sunday trade to speak of, I'm sure they will be amenable to most things that will drum up some trade. In some ways that's the beauty of the place, any other pub with a decent car park just doesn't seem to want car clubs on a Sunday lunchtime.
Obviously if anyone has any ideas as of things they might like to see, please let me know.

Barry, this is the joy of trying organise an event like this. However hard you try to get an idea of numbers, without taking deposits from people or anything else formul like that, you never know.
Normally at our Humber club meet we get 15-20 people, at our last one we had over 40. The pub was packed as it was! Bless 'em, the landlord and his team coped brilliantly!!
Obviously if anyone has any ideas as of things they might like to see, please let me know.
regards
Barry

YUM CHA!
They're bound to have dim sims and stuff like that in the freezer once a few have rolled up they could whack some tasty tit bits in the oven and flog em in the car park. Those that want to parcipate could pay couple of quid or whatever and take a plateful, or pay your money for a plate and the girls bring snacks around on trays - yum cha al fresco style

I know they do take-away, so don't suppose it would be a problem. I'm told the food is quite good actually, though not being an 'expert' I couldn't say.
I was only kidding in the last post!!!!! if they turn up for this i'm off! A great way to spend a Sunday lunch time with fellow rodders and a superb idea by Barry, just what we need in Suffolk.
Was thinking of perhaps raising a little money for charity by selling a few old car magazines. I have a fair few National Dragster magazines that someone might find interesting. If anyone else has any they would care to donate we could leave them on a 'trust' stall at 50p a pop.
Did clock the shorts today Dellboy, shame about the legs!.But yes agree a good turn out, look forward to it now weather being good. See y'all wednesday, Ruth'll bring some goodies!!
Well chuffed with the turn-out today guys. Nice to see some new faces also.
Looks like the venue is going to work well, so I'll continue to do my best to spread the news. Fact is that the meet is succeeding with a great deal of credit being due to the Goodguys at Turtlespeed, so thank you for the support.
