just recieved my copy of street times and there is a letter in it from the mods and rodders ,the non conformist car club, where the cutting edge modern GT's and tuners of today are welcome . the editors comment amounts to exactly whats worrying us "hopefully its not a backdoor to a bunch of max tossers".....superb!!!
And next month you will have a letter introducing the new AHRA chairwoman and saying that Mersea is still on, thought it may be better to do it like that so a) it will be closer to the date for mersea and b) it doesn't look like a bitching contest between the 2 clubs.

hey Bod, i think you have mis-understood Beki. Your talking about Mods & Rodders and she's talking about AHRA. I'm confident that Bekki is going to get the AHRA on the right track again. I've never been to MMM but will be going this year to show support as i know the ahra are for our event.
hi mitch,your right that there was some confusion there, but i dont think it was on my part as i never mentioned ahra in my original thread and indeed, have nothing against them whatsoever. me and chucky have been pitching tents with the ahra at the nationals ,for over 10 years now, and we have been to the last few mmm's ,and all have been good times. have met beki a few times and she seems good as gold , and she has my full support in what she is doing with the club. beki knows i have strong opinions on the hut hutch brigade , and i think she likes to rattle my cage every so often when i am having a rant...bless her.
Yes, editors comments are right on the money!.It does bring home the point we've all made before that these two sides of this hobby just don't mix. It will be interesting to see how they are greeted at the Nats and even the NSRA meets they propose to attend.Sad they will have to all sit round their little camp fire in the camping area not eligable to display on the main field!.
