Looks like Turtlespeed is starting to get known! I saw Geoff Mead today (ford pop) told him about the show and he already knew about it! Apparently the show and the website is being talked about locally, and quite a few people have said they are going. For those of you who dont know Geoff he runs the yellow ford pop in the street eliminator class and runs at 8.3 (i think) in full street trim. He should be MOTing it in the next few days and will be bringing it to B52. Working with Geoff at Mirror Finish in Saafend is Graham who owns a beautiful Plymouth Barracuda who will also hopefully be there. Two lovely cars. John Golding (Home Grown hot rods) should be there too in something to make me feel sick with envy. So (fingers crossed) it should be a day to remember.
Geoff's Ford Popular, nearly as fast as Simons Gasser
I dont know how to contact him, but i'll have a go. I'm going to Canvey tomorrow, might pop in to wilf stacey's place and put a poster up there too. Dont know the bloke but i know his car.

Im just pleased to get a few people who think the same way we do. take the piss out of each other ( Mopar is better than chevy Mr Bowtie, thats no piss take...lol) and have no interest in politics.

BOOM !!!!!!! you know what you said about old fords!!!! and running mopuuuurs /??? check out what geoff runs in his pop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHEVY POWER
with all this freindly banter being chucked around we might have to sort out a group weekend at the pod and settle some scores on the blacktop. Si stop challenging chevys thats me and Mr Bowtie now so who's going to be third in line!!!! i reckon with numbers of members we could give surrey muscle a run for their money ( only in vocal support not actual motors, I am not that mad yet!!!!!!!!!!!!) at the Mopar Nats. What a weekend event that is.

yo !!!! shrek ........................I think some body ought to explain to poor deluded mr. poopular exactly what MOPAR stands for in drag racing circles ????????????????? move over people are racing most often passed at races !!!!!!!!!!! but what do you expect from somebody who drives a Frigin' Old Rebuilt Dodge ha.ha.
Hi Mrs Mopar, That car will be driven to the show like that, maybe without wheelie bars although probably with (i hope). I'm not sure but i think its illegal to drive on the road with wheelie bars. ont know what Chevy is in it but i guess its big as he is hoping to get in the 7's this season on street tyres.
Well I am jealous, there is no way I could drive something like the Pop down the street here in Melbourne without probably getting busted by the cops, our road rules are really strict.
I could'nt drive the cortina down the street, I would get busted big time, too loud, too low, rear tyres too big, just to name a few................. i wanna go live in the USA or the UK, then I could drive around with no worries!
