well I pulled the estate off the road today to sort out the paint damage done by the scum that broke into the garage and to remove the 2.8 ready for its new upgraded 2.9
the fact the engine was still warm when I removed it still didn't help matters when it came to undoing the exhaust headers but they came off eventually old engine out still runs as sweet as when it was first fitted and will have a new home in a mates motor once he blows the existing lump up and the new engine pre rebuild just mocked together at the mo will be getting a full rebuild over the next couple of weeks

welding all done now fitted the engine in the bay to work out were to cut the bonnet and make up the belt cover got the new panelwork sorted and made up the new rad support hopfully get the body work sorted this weekend and get it painted by next weekend
well just over 3 weeks and its nearly complete again just waiting on a coulpe of bits all being well it should be done by sunday (fingers crossed ) if it is i'll definaly be bringing it to the b52 but work won't stop once it is done still got lots to do on the van hoping to have that one done by the end of may also got the new billet throttle linkage fitted on the van clearance under the bonnet is getting tight again :rolleyes: :lol: and finaly for this weekend painted the valve covers for the estate
well its been a long 4 weeks but its done bar a few small tweeks and little tidy up jobs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bWJgxdtZGs got it finished at about 3pm this afternoon and ran it down to the southend custom car show with no apparent probs apart from a pair of very bad bonnet clips that won't let me open the bonnet :-/
