this weekends work

well I pulled the estate off the road today to sort out the paint damage done by the scum that broke into the garage and to remove the 2.8 ready for its new upgraded 2.9

the fact the engine was still warm when I removed it still didn't help matters when it came to undoing the exhaust headers but they came off eventually

old engine out still runs as sweet as when it was first fitted and will have a new home in a mates motor once he blows the existing lump up

and the new engine pre rebuild just mocked together at the mo will be getting a full rebuild over the next couple of weeks

well its been a long 4 weeks but its done bar a few small tweeks and little tidy up jobs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bWJgxdtZGs
got it finished at about 3pm this afternoon and ran it down to the southend custom car show with no apparent probs apart from a pair of very bad bonnet clips that won't let me open the bonnet  :-/
