Well after being nagged long enough by mitch and si... I thought i'd say hello officially. Most of the Ipswich contingency of turtlespeed knows who I am, some may not ? My name is david and as youv'e guessed I live near Ipswich. I have been messing around with cars for so long i'd really rather not remember. Now I want your assistance in helping to make a desicion regarding my chevy !!!!! after the damage sustained at the track I have the option of either rebuilding as a race car again or building for the street ???? what do you think ???????
Depends if you still want to go out there and win!!!!
I would rather be cruisin done the A14 to Billing with My mates and seein a sign written chevy in my rear view........but have you got it out of your system yet!!! Can you say, been there seen that and have nothin left to prove....or.....does split personality still need to settle some scores on the track?

Dave, for what it counts as you know I'm not a muscle car man anymore but still appreciate them and I think the Chevelle would be a way cool, definitely unique street car if it could be re-incarnated that way. Lots of questions you've got to ask yourself too which you probably have already and still can't decide. IE as Mr P asked ,,,is the balls out racing side gone enough to maybe just do RWYB or just spectate. Do you still love the Chevelle to continue with in either street or strip? if not could you sell the shell and use the engine in a rather lively street car or is it not a streetable engine? either way could you sell all and have a fresh start. I know you had your year of glory and a lot of fun along the way but I also remember when you had a rather rare 'ol Buick with a big455ci in it and had a big grin on your face every time you terrorised everyone round town with it. Can't somehow see you in a big 'ol boat of a cruiser but back out there in some nasty big block bruiser, yes!
Dave, you know what we think, You got racing in your blood, you would not be 100% content unless you could still go and kick some santa pod arrse, and to be honest i think once you get the thing rolling again the first thing you are gonna wanna do is go back to the pod, do the engine, and all the new stuff that goes with it. and in the mean time, we need to keep onto wilf about that poxy camero, IT WILL SEE THE START LINE AGAIN COME HELL OR HIGH WATER!!!!!! If you drove that instead of yours (if we can get started on it, it is closer to the track than yours if we are honest.) i think it would answer your own question. Besides you know you already got the all new split P Pit crew sorted. the same one as Wilfs rat.
You know i mean it in the nicest possible way sweetie, its just she deserves to not be stuck in the back of the workshop looking all sorry for herself when it wouldn't take that much to at least get her running so you could buzz around nats etc in it, or get dave to clear her lungs a bit on a rwyb. you know how i have a thing for cars looking all forlorn. thats how i ended up with my peice of rust, as much as i love Doris to bits and anyone else insult her and they are toast, but to be honest she's not the most...............complete car ever, considering the panels are still on her. Although if your not carefull that same instinct may take over and i start going all gooey. (Is that the sign of a sick puppy or wot? the sight of babies makes me run. FAST, in whatever direction they are not. Sight of a car looking forlorn and i go all goey inside!)
now now dont change the subject? I'm sure we would all like to hear more about your 37 years as a swinger ?????? I always thought there was something dodgy about you ...... may be it was just you playing that old banjo of yours on the porch !!!!!!
I did have a moment of clarity.. thats why I didnt become another hillbilly ford owner,, HA. HA... you done them poxy manifolds yet ?????? times running out !!!!! soon be the april show ..... get your arse in gear bod.... no excuses...
well i suppose you need to hang on to something doris??? anyway how would you know about rust and welding ???? your a girly>>>> go back to the kitchen and play with your own tool box.... washing machine, dish washer, hoover etc. etc
typical bloody girly... winge .winge . winge...nag, nag, nag... you'll wear your jaw out in a minute.... mind you thats what you expect from a capri owner ...HA.HA.
the love of your life owen.... I'm sure if you cut him in half it would say ford capri in the middle... and what about the white one???? not sold yet.... so your still a ford capri owning redneck....
Eh, no, paperwork not in my name on white one, so not technically mine, and yes but that's owen, he's not right in the head, that's why he drives ford's. Can't find any other reason anyone would actually want to drive one.
