Dont you just love car 'Experts'

My wife (Sarah) works for a metal fabrication company and she works with this bloke who talks complete bollox all the time. He has got a beetle with a pinto in the back which he says is so powerful that he will be able to wheelie it all the way to work! He reckons that by using some kind of brake bias thing he will be able to brake one rear wheel at a time therefore steering it with the front wheels staying in the air! He said all that some time ago and i just couldn't be bothered to say anything whilst just thinking '****'. Today Sarah went to work and told him about our shagged engine and said about our rover v8 plan, when we said about the V8 he apparantly pulled a face and said why not use pinto? sarah explained that its not much more power than the humber engine so no point to which he responded 'the pinto 2000cc will give 160bhp standard and can be easily tuned to 230bhp+ apparently when he fit he's twin turbos to he's it will have 600bhp!! He then added that the Rover V8 was 380bhp standard but weighs a lot more. Apparently the 1600cc pinto weighs 283lb the 2000cc pinto weighs 320lb but a Rover V8 weighs 750lb!! So we should all get pintos with twin turbos on. One last thing, he will be drag racing he's beetle and hopes to get it wheelying all the way down the track as there is less wind resistance with only 2 wheels on the ground as the wind will go under the car so it will go faster! So all you drag racers who spend fortunes on your V8's and on your chassis trying to keep it on the ground are all doing it wrong!
I know this went on a bit but i couldn't believe the bollox this bloke comes out with.

What a load of crap mitch.Anyone knows the rover weighs about the same as the pinto being all alloy.Thats what makes it a favourite swap.Anyway i better keep an eye out for wheeling beetles on my way to work tomorrow.I'm sure i saw a punto doing a nose wheelie today or it could have been my imagination, thanks for lightening my day.

none of you know what your talking about. Ferrari, Lamborgini etc all have 4 wheels on the ground thats why a reliant robin (with a much lighter engine) on 3 wheels is so much quicker...........and I thought you lot knew about cars.

Im off to bounce a tigra on hydrolics...if I get it on 2 wheels it will beat the lot of you on the qtr mile.......will they let me race without a full licence?

Its interesting that it might owe 30k but we are told that someone that would own one would love a hot rod but cant afford one.

This guy sounds like a bit of an odd person !!!!!! Doing wheelies are not good down the quarter, loose too much time and the bounce and final landing usally mean an expensive breakage to the car or means you bounce off into the wall or guard rail!

The previous owner of the Corty did that, when he landed, hit the wall, broke the suspension and grazed the rear right hand quarter too! many swear words uttered in the In car footage!

I reckon he`s been readin` books.....The wheelie show cars have this set up,but they ain`t racing, just balancing on the jockey wheels

He said all that some time ago and i just couldn't be bothered to say anything whilst just thinking '****'.
 So are we

'the pinto 2000cc will give 160bhp standard
two of them will match the Chevy

One last thing, he will be drag racing he's beetle and hopes to get it wheelying all the way down the track .
Gonna be last then everytime

James bought the Bug chassis from "Fat Boy Racing" who were gettin` high 10s from a Bug unit. That car used to pop the front up on launch, just means your losing control really...they`re now running the engine on a new chassis all tucked up in a Renault Dauphine
