I see you guys are looking into getting a show or whatever together next year and meet at other events, have you thought about some kind of informal monthly meet like AHRA do/did? I know theres no formal club so no club stuff to discuss but just a beer and say hello, meet and put faces to names. It's also another excuse to get the motors out if the weathers ok, I'll see if I can get the 'ol Sierra fired up! For those that don't know me I could wear a red rose and have a copy of 40+ under my arm.
i'm alway's up for a beer, you will know me cos i'm a fat bastard to and have no hair and no teeth and will be carrying a copy of max power under my arm.
I had been thinking about a meeting for the Ipswich crowd, following the way the AHRA has gone/is likely to go in the future, I just don't want to have anything to do with it, whoever is right or wrong.
I was thinking of leaving it until after christmas, not meant as a club, just a place to meet once a month.
You are wecome to dress up and bring high quality reading material (dodgy porn mags) but Max Power is taking things a bit too far.

how about one night meet near ipswich for the crew who live that way, then nearer colchester for us essex chappies then maybe venture out near simon but be warned of the time warp back 20years
Woolies car park, sounds great. We could all meet up there, walk round town and have a beer and when we come back to the cars we could have a competition to see who's had the most vandalism done!
the only reason i would have a lax power mag is to wipe my arse on after a good ****e!!!!!!!! we could meet at woolies or how about going to the YMCA down Narwich road? maybe we could get some local asylum seekers interested in our hobby?
if you looking for somewhere in Ippy to meet how about the Royal George in Colchester rd, it has a large carpark. what about the Railway in Foxhall rd which also has a large carpark or there's alway's the truck stop where we meet sometimes to go to shows? they all easy for our Essex friends to find as well. Anyone else got any bright ideas?? And don't suggest the Rushmere Falcon Jerry!
only joking Fi, as the Falcon is about a 1 minute drive from Jerry's, mind you the Garland is about a 1 minute drive from mine and i'm happy to meet there, the John Bull is even nearer to me and they got plenty of parking spaces!!

All good places, we need to decide on somewhere soon so we can get together and knock out some details for the holiday run.(I think a swim will have to be made an obligatory part of the run) Your suggestions Tony so you pick a place and a night and get it listed the sooner the better. If Wed night speech and general enthusiasum was anything to go by the monthly beer at the Black Horse is all but dead. That was the only night listed on my social calender.
Mike's away in Tootall-Land next week, so he won't have a chance to look at sorting out the problem with the Humber. We can come down in the Fiat...........
.......OK! I'll get my coat and head off to Pete's forum instead.
sarfend in the summer should be a chuckle. open headers a must though eh mitch
mmm........not sure, the Humbers got a 1725 4 pot auto in it. Not quite got the right noise. Hoping to put a Rover lump in but you know how plans change, i would say that the car will be gone by then cos you know what i'm like with cars but as this one is mainly for my misses it might be a keeper.
I think a cruise down the front then back to the B52 club for a drink, i dont mind arranging it.
What you need is a car full of girlies (and James & Anthony) to make loads of noise. Ask Mike about that at the 2005 Nats. Shrek & Si couldn't remove the headers from our Humber, so we made a hell of a lot noise instead.

Mitch are we talking about over the hols for this? or are these plans ahead for a summer jaunt, either or both I'm in and sure some other Ipswich degenerates will be up for it too. Wanted to go to the B52 for a show in the summer but for some reason it got cancelled, never been what's it like? sounds a great place for a cruise in. either way set it up, can't remember if I've ever had jellied eels but I'll give 'em a go. Do hope we can go lookin for some lax power boys to upset.
Me and Andy went down there last year and met Mitch there. Andy was still on the standard engine in the Corti and I was runing open headers......It woke Southend up!!! Its a good place to go before or after a cruise as its tucked away down the side of the airport.

sad Billy no mates.Bumper
i think the railway would probably be the most welcoming, i'm happy to ring and speak to the landlord but i cant help thinking we should leave the meet til after christmas as it only 2 weeks away. tuesday or wednesday eves are best for me. i think i'll give the swim a miss because i would'nt go in that sewer ridden sea if you paid me and i don't think Trev or Derek would be that keen either! anyway someone of your age should be careful doing such extreme things Jerry!
Why not just come to my house. Plenty of parking, no neighbours and I dont have to worry the Pop still aint on the road!!!!
You will have to advise god where you are though as its so far out you will fall off his radar!!!
i'm also happy to do this as well! a meet in Ipswich a meet up round your's and a cruise along southend, all sound good to me. although the southend cruise should be around spring/summer time i think then maybe we could do that a couple of times.
plenty of cruises to sarfend me thinks as we could stop on the way back at my mates pub in south woodham. big square car park and beer garden mmmmmmmmmm
