Stolen thread from another forum. But, what do you love about the rod & custom scene?
For me it's meeting up with some great people from all over the country, some we might only see a couple times a year but have become good friends, sharing a hobby and having a cider with them at shows. Oh yeah and seeing some nice cars along the way.
cars, music,a time when things were or seemed to be easyer. not so much the techno rat race we now live in. And the like minded peopel on here and at the shows/meets.

Been on the rockin scene for over 20 years in one way or another, althou i have experienced other things and im open minded about `other scenes`. ive been to folk gigs, psychobilly and raves. I love the music, cars, people, lifestyle, everything really..... I was a tree climing `tomboy` loved cars as long as i could remember, my grandad had a mk3 zephyr and i was always thrilled to get a lift from school in that when i was young. my mum was on her own, so i helped repair/push start/service her cars as far back as i remember....... I enjoy feeling like i am actually driving a car.... not just surrounded in plastic and not having to think about driving. I wil never changed, its ingrained over the years.... from 17 i had at least 2 cars on the go.
i recently bought a jag, as i thought i would enjoy it, but had no enjoyment from it. my daily is my Humber or my Dodge.....until the Zephyr is done. my first Nats was at sweet 17, i had a triumph vitesse at the time.... but couldnt wait to get a sled..... still waiting, althou the zephyr tick`s a few boxes. sorry to go on, but it got me thinking. thanks for that Fi . x
