Its always said to us classic car drivers, and how true it is. We always talk about the things we havent got in our classics. Climate control, digital dash etc etc, but what about the things we dont have in our modern cars which we crave for in our old'uns? Things like... Sealed beams Manual choke Proper wood dash Column change Bench seats Rust!!! Anything you can think of?

how 'bout - draughts, rattles and that lived-in/homely/comforting smell that just gets better with age - or is it me underwatsits? - nah! - with a classic you and the car are working together, creating pleasurable moment(s) in space and time that can't be equalled in a modern jobbie - it's more than going from A to B - it's putting back that road feel at yer' fingertips - - - - - aaaaaaaaaaaaah - I'm off fer a drive, 'scuse.............
6volts rubber mats instead of carpets Vent windows wind down windows metal glove boxes lids (ready to cut you in half in an accident) No seatbelts (back up the glove box please aroundabout 26 grease nipples per car) bulbs that you could replace no heated windows 11 to the gallon! Big car with small drum brakes 2 speed wipers (too slow and even slower) Big stearing wheels that didnt feel connected to the road wheels (must american cars)
two speed wipers ,thats a luxary, the triumphs only got one speed ,and if its raining hard i have to slow down or the wipers cant clear the screen quick enough.lol.
