i dont know if i should change the exhaust from a rear exiting to a side exit exhaust. ?Tail pipes would come out in the middel of the rear doors.pics of how it is at the mo, it sounds and runs fine. should i change it or not?
I'll try it and see what it looks like this week. I'm going to do it so i can easly put it back the way it was if i dont like it out the sides. Thanks for the input guys.

well ive been thinking ....ouch that hurt lol.im going to try and make my own side pipes running along the sill. With no silencers mmm its going to be f###ing loud, but ill try it next week and see how i get on.if its ok then ill chrome the pipes and fit them as and when i want to use them. mr plod wont be impressed lol.

I couldn't imagine having side pipes or lakes on the Fairlane, it's loud enough in the car now! Plus they get blinkin' hot, burnt my legs on Nessie's Zodiac with side pipes when I went in that.
im keeping them in line with the sill so you shouldn't catch your legs on them when geting out, i think its going to be far too loud without any silencers. but il give it ago as im curious to see what it looks n sounds like..the pipes for it only cost £17,so its no big loss if i dont like it .

well i fitted it and to be honest it didn't look the way i wanted it to. LOUD yep f##ing LOUD but i expected that.well the pipes came off and im going to change it a bit so just the tail pipes come out the side ,just in front of the rear wheels. again the silencers will not be fitted as i cant get a decent ground clearance with them on. it was nice to hear it roar with no silencers but as mark/animal said it would do your head in on a long trip. may be i'll do it just for track and quart mile runs.

poped side out lets on with no silencers VROOOOOOOOMMMMM sounded lush. but pc plod would tug me every 2 mins so off they came. real nice burble .sounded like a big block yank. blasted it down the road ,mates loved it but agreed it was way too loud for road use. if i ever get on a quart mile ill use them then.

dont worry about plod if you like the sound of it then run it around to see if you like it then if your getting hag or you dont like the noise then you can change it
im going to have to try and find a thin silencer if i want side exits permantly. when i took it out up the road at work and gave it a blast ,everyone and i mean everyone looked up to see where the noise was coming from. on idal its a nice burble but when you open it up ..... i'll get there in the end.

not quite there yet poped them on but the angel is all wrong need to put a few bends in to get it past the chassis so it sit straight rather than pointing down to the floor and geting caught.
