Smooth

Mike's been a busy bunny! Soon after the Brass Monkey Run just after Christmas work started on the Fairlane and ..........

The bonnet masscot has gone.......

...... so has the boot catch and the rear lights have had a makeover too! (Not that you can see much of the boot lid in that photo, as someone plunked her bottom on the bumper just as I started to take the photo hmm Kids!!!!)

Oh and slowly the flaps are going too. Yippee!! Hate the bl**dy things.

He's still got a few more jobs to do and got to finish the paint where he's removed the metalwork. Watch this space................

Whilewalls will return at some stage wink.gif But they flaps and the low profile tyres they were on had to go, as they were playing mayhem on the gearing. Bigger wheels on the back have now made such a difference. smile.gif
The masscot had to go, as Mike's trying for a mid '50's kustoms style, where by all (or nearly or) trim was removed. (or at least that's what he's told me anyway)
A bit like this one:

hmmmmmmmm..... Appletons.........

Fear not, whitewalls will return once we've saved up our pennies to get some bigger ones that don't effect the gearing. wink
