To be honest I've been a bit dissapointed with it the last few years aside from the guys who put in the effort in making it happen, there are a couple of other shows on the same day I've always fancied giving a go,if not I'll be there

Totally and Utterly disgusted that kids have to be paid for, so much for a great family weekend. letters of complaint should be sent to the NASC, will be writing mine tomorrow. If this is just to do with the Tot rods they should just ban them. It is expensive enough especially when things are tight for everyone. Does anyone else share this concern??? Not just moaning cos our family is like the Waltons!!! lol
I have got to say I think they will lose a lot of people now....especially in a resession.
The Nats has been getting less and less fun as the years go by. Especially the music!! Poxy Bogus Brothers!!!! The blues brothers tribute was fantastic and in keeping with the sort of people who go to the Nats.
Last year Luca got told not to ride the lambretta around the site cos they thought it was some sort of modified 'tot bike'. When Ian's Camaro broke down and I towed him in. I drove passed a marshall, but ian got told to slow down!!! I was towing him. he didnt even have the engine running.
I understand health and safety, but come on!!!!
Its the people you are with that make the Nats not the activities. Its great cos its so local for us, so we all go, but Im not sure we all will this year!!
if i dont lose my license!! im not if we will go this year as we have got 5kids all in that age bracket. i might try americana at newark in july i'll have to wait to see what happens with my license 1st.
OOOOOH Yes a good number of the Pirates will be in attendance again, great weekend, and a good time to chat more and more, and even a bit more, i,m sure we will see most of you there again..................
Hmm not digging at anyone here. I got 5 kids Its never stopped me doing a show even when money had been super tight and it has been especially when they were all little. The only thing that did change was how and what we spend our money on Whilst we were there. Not ideal you just have to adapt. Having said that I don't think any under 16 s should be charged. Make your voices heard write in to the organizers and let them have it !
Why do they try to screw everybody over, it cost us to get in to show are cars so shoudnt have to pay full stop.
This is the thing, they rely on everyone bringing their cars and paying for the privelige, also for the gneral public and a lot of exhibitors,I agree with Simon, the music is crap and not to their taste. I emailed the organisers 2 years running suggesting that they might contact some half decent local bands who'd love the exposure and probably do it for free and may appeal to a wider audience and may attract a few more people,it made perfect sense to me but you know what? I didn't even get a reply! As for paying for kids, well that's plain stupid in these times and on a bank holiday too My Truck and Caddy were there last year but that's 2 that won't be this year I'm afraid

oh no ****ing way this is getting beyond a ****ing joke now. i know they have to make the site pay for itself but this aint good. and those health and safety prick dont ****ing help looks like the nats on on a downwards turn hmmmmm maybe this is the chance for mersea to expand abit.
Billing cost us £40 for Friday & Saturday night camping and access to the bar & marque. BUT if we wanted extra children, it was £2.50 per child, gazeboos, pup tents & additional cars were all extra's. So no cheaper really if you work it out for a 3 night stay.
