A number of you may have booked tickets for the Rougham Airfield drive-in, this coming Friday and/or Saturday night/s.
Last year the organisers were victims of their own success, with vast numbers turning up without tickets, causing bedlam !! This year they are ahead of the game. Numbers have been strictly controlled (hence the two nights) and arrangements made to allow everyone onto the site quickly, then marshalled to their positions afterwards.
As with last year provision has been made again for classic American cars to be allowed to the front of the queue and then to the front by the screen, providing cars turn up early by 18.30. They will also be allowed off site first, after the film has finished.
Note - This year large vans and 4x4's will be confined to their own area, so as to not obscure the view for others in smaller cars.
The event organisers have been contacted by BBC Look East, who have become aware of the event and are interested in covering the evening, with a particular view to filming the classic cars. At this time it is not known what night they are likely to attend.
I thought I might look a bit odd turning up to watch dirty dancing on my own so I think i will give it a miss this year if you dont mind Barry!!! ha ha
