isolator switches


the chevy seems to be draining power out of the battery. I have looked at some on ebay  and they range from £4.00 to £65.00 in price. are the cheap ones worth getting or what.  I need this for the show season  so please help with advice

Hello, my dad has one fitted to his caddy, it the battery terminal type works well!

Are you sure the Battery is draining ? or is the battery a dud,that will hold a charge after charging for a few hours only to die overnight.

Perhaps it`s worth investing in a Bro visit to check it out.

Got one on the Bentley I last used it in Oct, went to it on Thur turn it back on and she started on the button, I was impressed ( but it dont take alot)

I got one here you can have shrek

I used it on my banger its still attatched to the cage but your welcome to it if you want it

There easy to fit

On the bangers we kill the negative side of the battery rather than the live

Edit :

Removed from cage, Left bracket and cables attatched for you, included plastic weather cover and 1key ( if i find another red key ill stick in post to you )

Let us know your addy mate and ill wack in the post

Brackets pop riveted on and my drills not charged up so leaving it on ( may be of use to you ? dependant on where its being mounted in the vehicle )

Not heard anything from shrek yet ?? Does he come online much ?? if not is it possible someone to drop him a text for me might be able to drop the isolator off to someone before Manningtree to give him or if he can send me his addy i can stick it in post for him :)

If you fit them isolator switches to the earth lead on a road going car it wont make a ****es worth of difference, you would need to fit it to the positive lead.
i got through loads of them switches when i used to race and they only about a fiver Shrek, you can get one from most motor stores.

Yer on a roadgoing car it would run off the alternator if was done on the NEG

youll need to run it on the Live, as we disconnect alternators on the bangers we tend to kill the Earth lead so we know its all dead
