If you want them that bad Steven you should go get em, they are just what you want, surely worth the trip? Why not take ya whole family and have an ice cream whilst you're there!
Years ago we went down to Wales just to collect a couple of brass fire engine bells. Sniper's dad, Bitzer & Sniper went to Crich to collect a trolleybus. He recently picked up some wheels from near Lincoln. Almost the same distance. Think about how far people travel to go to Wheels Day.
As Tony says, if you really want them you'll found a way to get them. At least now the price of petrol has come down.
Just had a thought, what about if you sort out the courier to come & cllect these wheels, if the seller can bag them up. Mike sold some wheels via Retro Rides a few months back and all we had to do was wrap them up, label them with the buyers address and wait for the courier the buyer had sorted to come & collect them.
Nuvver option Steve,- If you're signed up on the NSRA forum there's a parts 'courier' deal where people offer to relay parts across the country basically coz they're all such damn good eggs. Anyone on there can post say- anyone coming fron Lands End to anywhere near Ipswich sometime soon? and wait see what happens then work in with whoever offers. Nice to offer similar in return now and again but it's a system within that works. Check it out.
Never joined nsra Fi but i might well do. I wasnt banned from retro rides, i told ****wire to shove his forum up his well licked anus and logged out for good. Obviously he would ban me now if i wanted to join (i would rather pluck my knob hair with bar-b-q tongs than join that forum again) but he didnt ban me. If he wants to tell people otherwise thats his perogative. Im sure he reads on here time to time and i still feel the same way about him now as i did then. I may not be the easiest person in the world to get on with but i dont take kindly to idiots like him treating me like that.
