why dont we put the money towards a childrens charity (dont no wat the name is) that helps children with birthmarks on their face and charge like a pound to get in the show
i dont mind paying to get in if the charity is worth while, i do however think there is far more needy charitys than children with birthmarks.
In a way I agree Chucky but just to say I had a school mate who thro' his lifelong complex from a a facial birthmark commited suicide. Some such people find it very hard to live in world where Mr average has to stare or make fun of physicaly deformed beings.
i agree bumper.. there are so many charitys out there finding the right one..its the ones that people forget are the ones that never get our help.. may be give to several charitys then everyone gets abit..something is better than nothing...
I dont think we should charge, but take a voluntary donation perhaps. I'd never laugh at any one with any physical deformaties, would I Simon.....Oi, big ears I'm talking to you!
I'm not very good with computers but is there some kind of route planner link we can put up in the forums so folks can find directions to the show? Anyone know how if needed?

A voluntary donation would definatly be better as would sharing the money between charities.
I think if you make it mandatory to pay at one show, you might put people off coming to others as they think theyll have to pay at those as well. It aint so bad if its half a quid or so, and it soon mounts up if theres as good turn out as before. Has this show always been free or has there been a charge before? Also, unless you have the relevant bumph from the charity youre collecting for, questions may be asked as to where their moneys going.

i think asking for £1 a donation is not to much to ask, if you put your pennys away now then you should have a £1 by the 5th...mr popular why dont you contact a char that everyone agrees on and get them to stand at the gate with thier tins and that way we dont actualy handle the cash and the char can do all the adding up and let us know how much was raised....
yea. Fi. If you can please. classic or custom forums.....not sure about retro rides though. they got touchy last time over us not letting 80's toyota starletts on the show field!!
It is to late for all magazines.
Anyone know of any free or real cheap bands???? Maybe a new group who want their first performance etc!!
personly i think any charity donations should go to the british heart foundation witch covers children and adults who has problems. thats my thought any other ideas ?

Been to Karmann Konnection today and saw the flyer.
I should be bringing a few of my Back to 89 cars with me, some of you may have seen them outside the Royal Hotel back in September when I put together with Brett Hawksbee a show in memory of the late Rob Miller, at the pier/High Street with some very cool VWs.
Mine should be there so long as my goodies get shipped in from California.
Also in attendance should be Frosty in the short Split bus
It would be nice to see you all at the show. I should be the first ugly face you see when you get there, i'm directing the cars to the showfield and car park.
Been a bit worried about this show, but spoke to Neil Tadman yesterday and he confirmed that some BHRA are coming, also there was a gorgeous Fordson in there while i was there which is going to be there. Should be a good turn out.

whats to worry about ,plenty of flyers gone out and as you say should be a good turnout as long as we can get a drink and a bite to eat theres nothing else can be done as most go for a look around the motors and a chin-wag

No need to worry about it. I'm sure it's gonna be good but even if not many turn up we'll still have a good day, as Mark say's theres loads of flyers gone out.
Just an update, will be there if I can get everything done that needs doing, that is torsion arms, front shocks, a bit of filling, underseal, electrics need checking as have no brake lights and most important it has to get through the MOT and after all that I gotta put a few miles on her before I attempt long trips
