Opinions pleeeeeeze

Now that my bug truck has been modded to look a little more...err....."trucky" (is that a word)? im debating whether or not to use the baja rear cage. Apparently i have to use it for legal purposes but does it look better wiv or wivout? Bear in mind i can paint it black to lose it a bit.

looks better without it to me as well, fing is tho, it does offer a little protection to ya engine so why not just paint it black so it dont notice as much.

What happened to the ideas of fitting a more conventional rear bumper?.
Still several options that way.

Think you need to look at it the other way round Steve..
IE. find the bumper you want, offer it up and decide where you want it positioned then work out your brackets, you'll make it work, just needs thought.

Ill pop down the yard on monday an see if i can find anything. I think you said they had some tubing that looked good?? Apparently its a law thing to have the engine protected. It does look better without so im gonna make a decision to sell the baja bars on egay. Ill list em now!!!!!!

Yes good idea to sell,TBO they look more out of place now than before. The frame mounts you have on the back could be utilised with round bar or we can look at alternative mounting points when I next come round. Yes Elvins had a pile of straight pipe of various diameters if thats what you fancy. May be a few bumpers at the swap meet if you're coming, always loads on the bay, I've got a few, have to dig them out and see if any might work.
Bumps..........

I like the bumper on this truck but i would prefer them to go the majority of the width.

Stevie you dont need the cage on the rear as you have got your pullys already covered so there are no moving parts
i'm in favor of no cage

Thinkin about havin two slats, three quarters along the length for the bottom one an a bit shorter for the top one. Do ya reckon full length would look ok then? Wouldnt look like a cattle truck would it? confuse
Spose we could make it into a mobile shed, i love my shed biggrin
