Engine came back today, im a well happy bunny. Its had all new shells, bearings, a 009 dizzy, honed barrels, new flywheel etc, basically its a re-con unit. Just gotta wire it up, put the exhausts on and im away. Run it in for a hundred miles, oil change after 500.
The guy has given me an unconditional warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and will fix anything that aint right. Hes a bloody clever fella when it comes to air cooled lumps and if i ever need more bug engine work ill be on the blower to him. Details can be forwarded for other bug owners.
He even offered to help put the engine back in, and he'll come and do any final settings and checks when its runnin. Excellent service for 300 tokens, including collection and delivery of my engine. (He is quite local to me tho). Im chuffed as nuts!

Ive been out an about in it mate but its spent a lot of time havin stuff done. Ill have to pop an see ya mate, definitely gotta get that done!!!!!
