whats happening over the weekend who's doing what and going where??? think i'm already doing sat. at me mums so thinking of doing - going somewhere poss. sunday or even monday
As sadly the Pirates show is canceled and we've not booked in for Felixstowe, I shall be mostly cutting my grass, weeding and planting some nice new plants & seeds this weekend. Might try to organise a family picnic at some stage and repaint my toes nails in "Shocker" pink.
sunday, is the Ipswich to felixstowe classic car run, they park on the prom same as NATS. Stevie, bumper and me are meeting up and are going to slide our way into the convoy (i have done this for a number of years now!) people line the route and wave etc, honk ya horn and have a laugh! only fing is, the journey is quite slow and it can be a pain parking in felixstowe. i'm letting me old nag out of the cellar for the day so get ya mrs, bung her in ya rod and get ya arse down to sunny Ipswich and join the cruise and have an ice cream!

why dont you gatecrash the run? no-one can stop you driving to felixstowe!
If they let you on. Rule has been no entry number~ no entry on the Prom. All entry fees on the run go towards the Ipswich Transport Museum and without events and the support that it gets, we wouldn't have one of the best transport museum and collections within the museum in the country.
Sorry if that sounds like a mini rant, but I've got PMT and not had any chocalate!!!

Rant all you like giggles, but who said anything about going on the prom?? we are simply following the old crocks down to felixstowe and parking elsewhere! then supporting the event by looking around the cars and buy a programme where the money goes to Ipswich transport museum. At least we are making the effort! now go buy yourself a family sized bar of choccie and eat the whole lot!
Im not really goin on the prom, just gonna follow the chuckster down an get a programme. Fink Jerry is joinin us too. Still gonna show me bum tho......hahaha

we are meeting in westerfield road, dont know if you know it but it is easy to find. from the A12 go straight into Ipswich until you get to the bottom of crane hill London road, turn left into Yarmouth rd and keep going straight, thru chavellier street, over the magic roundabouts at narwich rd up valley rd hill, thru the lights at the top then take next left at the roundabout (westerfield rd) we'll be just along there waiting for the cars to leave the park.
no matter what is there i still like to look round, thing is most cars go every year and you see all the cars at various shows anyway. but it is British custom to go to a local event and spend hours riding around looking for somewhere to park on bank holiday weekend!
Simon you should have joined us sunday we had a fantastic run from ipswich to felixstowe we laughed all the way truly a great day (what with the weather as well)
I couldnt mate, I sold a couple of bits on ebay....like Jo's old explorer etc and had to meet them and I had to deliver that old black traveller down to Canvey...so by the time I had finished it was late!!!
We spent today at the Mid Suffolk Railway with my nephew and his girlfriend, who was nearly recuited into the Land Army. (Today was their 1940's day and they had people dressed up in period custome and several pre-war cars)
There were some interesting cars in the car park, apart from our Snipe there were a couple of TR5's, an MG, a custom Minor Traveller and a yella 32 3 window coupe.
not serious...just a pain in the ass!!! Cos it just had spade connectors I fit the proper box connector so the wire wouldnt come off and blow again........ now its about 1/4" to short to fit on the back and the loom is so tight I cant stretch it!!!!
