Had a look on there, nothing really caught the eye its either to far gone or too pricey and with a babe on the way and time and money a little tight it makes it more difficult

ideally id like something with a little Mot or atleast not going to need a lot mechanically/structurally wise to get it through

Bodywise I can handle so long as I dont get a flintstone car where the floors so rotten I dont need a Mot cos its classed a a Pushcar !

Ekk! doh  Stationary engines up there with the words flange, gusset and moist!
I hate stationary engines ashamed pop-pop-pop-pop . Not saying that they aren't minture wonders of engineering, because they are but I don't look them.

I take it you'll be doing the rounds of the steam show's then? Henham, Woolpit, West Bergholt and maybe the Dorset?

I guess once you've got the pick-up on the road, that'll be ideal for carrying to your engines around in.

I haven't been to the Bergholt show for several years, the other one that is quite good is the one at Earls Colne (or might be Wakes Colne) but it usually clashes with Mersea. Woolpit is another one I've not been to for years either, but that now clashes with Billing. We watched everyone leave there as we sat in the layby waiting for Mike's parents to collect me & the kids after we broke down coming back from Billing last year.

Hey Pete

Does that mean you will have to trade in the Burberry hat, hoodie and spliff for a flat cap, tartan blanket and a pipe???

Me, stereotype??? I dont think so!!!!

Babooom Tish !! good one !!

I already have the picnic blanket and flat cap

I never had the Spliff, burberry cap or hoodie ! but yer the cruisescene or renown chav scene has sorta escaped from my blood now its gone downhill

Im also planning on selling up my banger gear as thats got equally as **** now too

Im just gonna buy and restore old cars/bikes/tractors and anything else I can get my hands on, I have 2 more stationary engines coming end this month

1 is a winconsin watercooled and the other is a Hit and miss engine ( bit more technical and needs a bloody great trailer to pull it )

Then when I sell the banger gear ill keep the lorry for the tractors but I have my eye currently on a old Foden lorry thats been sat rotting in a field near me im gonna try get my grubby hands on it at some point and see how much there is left for me to work on
all be it a big project from a distance behind the brambles it looks saveable !

I know Im gonna regret saying this, but I love all the old trucks!! My first was an old 1943 Jimmy (GMC) with a straight 8, but that never did get on the road and I still have an old petrol Bedford TK on a farm....stopped paying rent on it about 2 years ago...its still there but the farmer might want a bit more than its worth to let it go!!! ha ha
